Madame Sherri's Forest is located in Chesterfield, New Hampshire. It can take a few minutes to find. Once you park in the parking lot, there is a short walk to her former house.
Madame Sherri's Former House
When visiting Chesterfield, Madame Sherri fell in love with the forest, and in 1931, she built her "castle" for a summer retreat. She used the home mainly for entertainment and never really lived there. In 1965, she died poor. The house became abandoned and vandalized. Then, in 1962, it caught on fire and was destroyed. Parts of the house remain today, though, and it makes for an interesting visit.
