Overlooking Munich, Germany

Tuesday, July 17, 2018

This post covers two days in Munich.  We began the morning by heading back to Marienplatz.  Yesterday, I happened upon a German band performing in the street.  By the time I made it to them, their performance was over.  After a little research last night, we are going back to the surrounding area today to try to see a German band perform.

Hofbrahaus House

We heard a band performing and decided to go inside.  This is a large restaurant that has a gift shop at the front.

We decided to go to Olympiapark next.  It is the site of the 1972 Olympic Games.

The Glockenspiel.  I love this beautiful building.

We found where you can go up to the top of this building for views of the city and decided to go!

McDonald's McFlurry.  I'm not exactly sure what mine was called but it was basically an M&M McFlurry.  They use a different candy, though, that is similar to M&Ms.

ToysRUs has closed all locations in The United States.  We saw that the stores are still open in Germany and had to make a stop.

It has been a fabulous two weeks in Europe!  Camp Mauthausen, Kosice, Slovakia, The Bavarian Alps, Prague, and The Marienplatz were among my favorite stops during this trip.  I would love to see more of Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Germany in the future!
