Driving to the top of Mount Washington is our goal for today.  Let's get to exploring!

Beginning Mt. Washington Auto Road.  With your purchase, you are given an audio CD to listen to during the ride.  It is an interesting listen about the history of the mountain.

The Mt. Washington Auto Road is a little scary at times, especially when the fog hits.

This makes for a harrowing drive at times.

Climbing the steps to the very top.  It was SO windy!

The highest wind ever recorded happened here.  I believe it.  The building is even chained down to the ground to keep it from blowing away.

The drive back down the mountain was much easier.  It was a fog-free drive.

You can also take this tram to the top of Mt. Washington.
