Visiting the African Lion Safari

On the drive to Toronto, we passed signs for the African Lion Safari in Hamilton, Ontario.  Today, we had to go check this place out!  African Lion Safari is a drive-thru zoo.

They only allow so many vehicles in at a time.  We didn't have to wait any though.

You can pay an extra fee to ride their bus if you do not want to take your car through the safari.  We chose to drive our own vehicle.

Monkey Area.  The monkeys often got on top of people's cars.

After finishing the drive-thru zoo, we headed back to the main entrance area of African Lion Safari. Here they have restaurants, rides, animal shows, and a waterpark for kids.

I absolutely loved visiting African Lion Safari!  It is so much better than the Toronto Zoo.  It is so neat being able to get up close to these amazing creatures.  If you are in the area, skip Toronto Zoo and go to African Lion Safari instead.  You won't be disappointed.
