Cincinnati Walking Tour

Tuesday, June 14, 2016

The following day we took a tour of Cincinnati.  This was an incredible walking tour!

Our first stop on the tour was a building where Annie Oakley had performed.  Our guide shared some very interesting stories about her time here and other performers who had performed similar acts in this same building.

A Kroger near the first original location of Kroger.  The area has a historical marker, as well.  This is located in the Over-the-Rhine area of Cincinnati.

The area has received some grants to update some old apartment and warehouse buildings.

The crypts underneath

In an apartment building undergoing renovations, old brewery tunnels were discovered.

To get to the tunnels, you had to go down some small holes and steps.

Underground

We concluded our tour with a stop at a local brewery.

If you find yourself in Cincinnati, I would highly recommend taking a walking tour.  The city has some interesting history that you may not know about otherwise.
