Kilmainham Gaol Prison is a former prison in Dublin. It now operates as a museum. Many prisoners were housed or executed here during the Irish revolutionaries.
The prison is located on a street with no parking available. I highly suggest taking a taxi to the prison.
We booked our tickets in advance. Once we arrived, we checked in and soon after, the guided tour began.

The execution area
After you finish the tour, you can visit the museum in the basement area. On exhibit are pieces related to many of the prisoners you learn about on the tour.
I absolutely loved the tour of Kilmainham Gaol Prison! There's just something about prisons that I find interesting. The tour was very well-done and interesting. If you visit Dublin, I highly recommend paying Kilmainham Gaol Prison a visit.
