Not too far from our hotel in Dublin is Malahide Castle. The Talbot Family called the castle home for 791 years! In 1975, a family member, Rose, sold the castle to the Irish State.
We bought an admission ticket to take a tour of the castle.
We had a little time to kill before our tour began, so we explored the castle gardens.

On the way to the exit, there is a small information gallery about the castle and Rose, its last owner.
There are several walking trails on the castle grounds.

I enjoyed visiting Malahide Castle; the tour was quite informative. I would recommend going if in Dublin.
