Bakken Amusement Park

Saturday, March 25, 2017

I'm a fan of theme parks but have never been to a theme park outside of The United States.  Most theme parks in Denmark are not yet open during this time of year.  Bakken, the theme park I explored today, is also not open yet, but you can walk through the area anyway.  I had to explore this amusement park because it is the oldest operating amusement park in the world!  It opened in 1583!  Bakken is located near Klampenborg, just north of Copenhagen.

Bakken is right inside of this gate.  Let's go explore!

The log flume

I loved this Swan ride! It looks so fun!

Park employees were busy getting the park ready for the upcoming season.  Some rides were being tested, while other areas were being updated.

A random toilet outside of an ATM machine

Bakken was SO much fun to explore!  I only wish it had been open.

After leaving Bakken, it was time to check into our hotel near the airport and return our rental car.

Last exit in Denmark

We stopped at a gas station near the airport to refuel before returning our rental car.  This gas station parking lot was SO tiny and there were SO many cars.  I honestly didn't think we were going to have room to even get gas, much less get out of the lot.

Hilton Hotel at Copenhagen Airport, our hotel for the night

We went and checked into the hotel and dropped our bags off before going to return our rental car.

I'm going to miss this car!

The bathroom mirror had these fancy decals.
For the last time, goodnight from Copenhagen.  Tomorrow we fly home.
