Visiting Ribe, Denmark

Monday, March 20, 2017

Good morning from Billund, Denmark!  Today we will be traveling to Ribe, Denmark.  Ribe is Denmark's oldest town.

Legoland Hotel has a channel specifically dedicated to airing Lego shows.  They are all in Danish.

Before heading out this morning, we stopped by the restaurant at Legoland for complimentary breakfast.  It was quite good!

Now, we are on the road to Ribe!

The sign below tells you your current speed as you are driving.  Some of them lit up a happy face if you were going a decent speed or a sad face if you were not.

Across from the church were the church offices.  They have also enclosed some ruins.

We found a little bookstore that we went inside.

We paid to climb to the top of the tower.  It's a little hike to the top.  There are also a few ladders to climb.

The view once you get to the top of the tower.

Back in Billund we came across an antique store called Loplet.  If you are a Lego fan, they had some interesting Lego pieces.

We stopped at a little pizza restaurant in Billund for dinner.

We also stopped at a grocery store nearby.

They had our favorite overseas ice cream, Viennetta!

Goodnight from Billund!
