We left Bratislava today and went to Kosice, Slovakia. We made a few interesting stops along the way!
Leaving Bratislava. Several buildings are very Soviet-like.
We made a stop to see Krizovatka storoci but after hiking for awhile, we decided to stop as it was in the middle of the woods with no real information on how long it would take to hike.
A gas station that we stopped at had such as nice rest area attached. It had plenty of picnic tables, shading, and a playground.
Apparently, Cheese & Onion flavored Lays are pretty popular over here. They're not too bad!
That's Spis Castle on the hill!
We parked at the bottom and hiked up to the castle. The views along the hike were breathtaking!
Spis Castle
The castle grounds are home to many little groundhogs! If you watch for a minute, you will be sure to spot them!
The hike back down from Spis Castle was filled with sweat bees.
Back on the road to Kosice
The view from our hotel, Hilton Doubletree
For dinner, we went to Restart Burger. The food was really good, especially the chips.
I am excited to explore Kosice tomorrow!
