On our trip back from Louisville, we stopped by Kentucky Down Under.  This is a small "zoo" where you can get up-close with animals.  The main attraction are the kangaroos that you can pet and feed.

Exploring Opryland Hotel

Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee is probably the most famous hotel in Nashville.  The reason is it is located next to The Grand Ole Opry and formerly Opryland Theme Park.  When the theme park was still around, there were many advertisements offering vacation packages to the park, Grand Ole Opry, and hotel.  In the late 90s, the theme park was closed and torn down.  It has since been replaced with a cookie-cutter mall.  The Opryland Hotel is still an amazing hotel, though, and a wonderful place to just simply walk around for hours.  There's so much to see and do.

Wartrace & Bell Buckle, Tennessee Antique Shopping

On our way to Chattanooga for an event, we made a stop in Wartrace and Bell Buckle, Tennessee for some antique shopping. Both areas had a great vintage feel to them.

We are heading to the Music Valley Village today to shop for antiques.  The area is across the road from Opryland.

Gifts 4 All Wholesale in Hendersonville, Tennessee

Today we went to a new store we recently heard about.  It is called Gifts 4 All Wholesale.  Their tagline is "Where Every Day is Black Friday!!!".  They get products from places like Amazon that are returned due to poor packaging, etc.

Almost Abandoned Pigeon Forge Mall

The Belz Mall in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee was never a hotspot.  In the 90s and early 00s, the mall was home to liquidation stores, and by the mid 00s, it began to rapidly close most stores.  I recently had a chance to go back and explore this mall, which is still open.  During my visit they were in the midst of renovations.  Very few stores remain.  Since my visit, they have closed off one of the entrances and moved everything down to another entrance.  I can't imagine this mall will be around much longer, but I have said that for quite some time now.  Somehow, it continues to remain open.
