This post covers two days in Munich. We began the morning by heading back to Marienplatz. Yesterday, I happened upon a German band performing in the street. By the time I made it to them, their performance was over. After a little research last night, we are going back to the surrounding area today to try to see a German band perform.

Prague is beautiful! Our hotel, The Hilton Prague, gave us a room with a beautiful view overlooking Old Town. Watching trains go by with the town in the background...amazing!
We are only in Prague for a day but plan to make the most of our time exploring this city.

Today we visited Auschwitz Concentration Camp. Having heard so much about this historical place, I was very intrigued as to what I would see and learn.

Today we left Vienna, Austria and travelled to Bratislava, Slovakia. I was so excited to see this country that I feel many do not visit or know much about.

Today we traveled to Vienna, Austria and took a few detours along the way. We had planned to do these the other day but roads were closed from where we were coming from and it was impossible to find another route!
First on our detour is the birthplace of Adolf Hitler, Braunau am Inn, Austria.

On our trip back from Louisville, we stopped by Kentucky Down Under. This is a small "zoo" where you can get up-close with animals. The main attraction are the kangaroos that you can pet and feed.

Today we took a tour of Waverly Hill Sanatarium. It is located in Louisville, Kentucky and was originally created to house tuberculosis patients. It has been closed for many years, and the current owners want to eventually turn it into a hotel. Based on what I saw during our tour, I think the hotel is a long ways off, if it ever happens.
I booked our two-hour, daytime, historical tour online. Our tour was to start at 2:00. The ticket info said to arrive by 1:45. We got there a little early and were told to wait at the gate; someone would come down to let us all in soon. More cars continued to arrive, with everyone just sitting outside the gate. Eventually, people got out of their cars and congregated near the gate.

Our trip to Mexico City comes to an end today. Before heading to the airport, we enjoyed a little dessert for breakfast.

In my previous posts about Mexico City, I mentioned we were visiting during Holy Week leading up to Easter. Throughout the week, we have seen many church processions, palm leaves, and other symbolic gestures.
Today is Good Friday. On this day, there is a famous procession and reenactment in Mexico known as Le Pasion De Cristo, which translates in English to The Passion of Christ. This procession happens in the town of Iztapalapa. We took an Uber to this town not really knowing what to expect. We couldn't find any information online about the schedule and exact location.

We began exploring Mexico City today! This morning we went to see the Frida Kahlo Museum. There were lines everywhere, and they weren't moving at all. Top that off with high temperatures, we decided to skip the museum and head back to downtown Mexico City.

Today we traveled to Puebla, Mexico. This was one of my favorite days of our Mexico City trip. Puebla is an interesting city; part of it is high-end, while the other is not.
