After flying back into Atlanta from Italy, we decided to stop by The Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum.  We have wanted to visit for several years but, unfortunately, it just never worked out that we were in Atlanta while they were open.

Today we head back to Colorado in order to fly out of Denver tomorrow.

Visiting The Henry Ford Museum

I am so excited about today!  We are going to The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.  I have heard about some of the pieces on exhibit here and can't wait to explore!

Ireland Has A Barack Obama Gas Station

Yes, you read the blog post title correctly.  Apparently, Barack Obama has Irish ancestry.  During his presidency, he visited the area of some of his relatives.  In return, the area built a gas station in his honor.  Let's explore Barack Obama Plaza.

William Howard Taft National Historic Site

We had plans to attend an evening event in Cincinnati, Ohio, so we drove up early to explore some sites in the city.

Our first stop was the William Howard Taft National Historic Site.  Our 27th President, Taft served from 1909-1913.  Located in Cincinnati is his childhood home.  In 1854, he was born in this house and lived there until he went to college in 1874.

Our tour was a guided a tour with a park ranger.  We were the only people on the tour, so it was a little awkward but quite informative.
